Taro Arthur d'Aronville is a British-Japanese creative currently based in Los Angeles, CA, pursuing a Media Arts + Practice BA degree at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Much of Taro's work lies at the intersection of media, culture, and business, where he intends to use large-scale artistic platforms to champion a philosophy of good for all. His interests include new cinema, creating an equitable music business landscape, artistic education, and Japanese moral philosophy.
Taro often says that of all his passions, music is the driving force. What started as a hobby led to studying with the Berklee College of Music for a Professional Certificate in Film Scoring, while also teaching high- and middle-school students music production. When Taro isn’t working with various communities to spread the joy of music, he is an Award-winning composer and music producer, having been highly commended by the BBC twice. All these projects meet to inform Taro’s idea of seeing in sound. He asserts that sound is part of a cinematic medium, and its relationship to nature and society paired with visual narratives has the power to make us think about reality’s deepest questions: where do we come from and why are we here? Taro hopes that our answers guide us to become conscious and loving citizens of the world.
